Isolux Corsan wins contract to build power transmission line in Kuwait

Isolux Corsan has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a 172 kilometre, 300kV electricity transmission line project in Kuwait.
Under the contract, the work will be carried out on a turnkey basis for the power line project worth $105 million in Al-Rawdatain town.
The work would be completed within a period of 22 months and executed in three parts.
Under the project's first part, the company will energise

the RDTN X substation, and construct 76 kilometre transmission lines (2x38 km) that will connect this substation with the existing 300kV double circuit transmission line between the Subiya Power Station and the Jahra X substation.
For the second part of the project, Isolux Corsan will build 82 kilometre long power line to energise the RDTN W power substation. These lines will be linked to the existing transmission line between Subiya Power Station and Saad Abdulla W substation.
Lastly, the company will construct another 14 kilometre long electricity transmission lines to interconnect the RDTN X and RDTN W substations.
Additionally, Isolux Corsan will undertake the complete design of the towers and foundations, the delivery of all materials and accessories, civil works, tower erection, stringing and commissioning.
